The lessons are 45 minutes per week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FCE: B2-level, for FMS students in their third year who reached a mark of 4.5 or more in their second year at KSWE.<\/p>\n<p>CAE: C1-level, for Gymnasium students in their third year who reached a mark of 5 or above in their second year at KSWE, and FMS students in their third year who reached a mark of 5.5 or above in their second year at KSWE.<\/p>\n<p>CPE: C2-level, for Gymnasium students in their third year who reached a mark of 5.5 or above in their second year at KSWE, and were recommended by their respective English teachers. This is part of the gifted programme (<a href=\"https:\/\/fs.kswe.ch\/bgf\/proficiency-exam-cpe\/\">Begabtenf\u00f6rderung<\/a>), therefore not an elective.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When to register? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students in their second years must register at the beginning of the calendar year, when they sign up for all their electives for the next academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost and reimbursement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students pay individually for their exams, the school is not involved<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The exam, which is conducted by experts, consists of 5 parts: Reading comprehension, writing, grammar\/vocabulary, listening comprehension and speaking.<\/p>\n<p>Exam fee: approx.
